Eleanor Seidman

Miss Seidman grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She began her undergraduate work at New York University, then completed her BA in Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  She obtained her Waldorf Teacher Training certification from Mercy College of Detroit, and later did graduate course work at University of Pennsylvania and Northern Arizona University, where she completed a Masters in Liberal Studies. Ms, Seidman has over twenty years of Waldorf teaching and administrative experience.  She has taught at the Toronto Waldorf School, the Chicago Waldorf School (grades 1-6), the Pine Forest Charter (Waldorf) School in Flagstaff, AZ (grades 2-5 and then 1), and Three Cedars Waldorf School (grades 2-5) and as the teacher of the class of 2015 since first grade. Ms. Seidman also helped start the Pine Forest School in Flagstaff, and the Children’s School in Philadelphia.  She has worked in Waldorf school administration including enrollment work, teacher evaluation, and mentoring.  Other work experiences have included many years working as a certified medical assistant and some time as an assistant Education Coordinator in the largest Head Start program in Philadelphia. She played recorder for some years, has done volunteer work at museums, university folk life programs, and for Early Music troupes, and has traveled through Israel, much of Europe, Greece, and Peru.  Ms. Seidman joined TCWS in 2003.
