Señor Gandára was born in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and relocated to the United States at the age of 11 years old, not speaking a word of English. As a child, he trained in gymnastics for thirteen years and has combined ballet and acting with a love for American musicals. Señor Gandára has lived in four different states, California, Texas, Massachusetts and now Washington and with a love for the open road, he has over the years visited 37 of the 50 states as well as the province of Quebec several times. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Señor Gandára's teaching experience has included citizenship classes for elderly immigrants to the United States, high school social studies, Sunday school, youth retreats, Spanish tutoring, math, and special education. He holds a B.A. in history with an Education minor from the University of Texas at El Paso and is currently studying Italian. Señor Gandára’s has been teaching K-8 Spanish language and culture at Three Cedars since 2010.
