A weekly class for children ages birth to 4 years old and their parents, our Parent-Tot program is a great way for parents to explore Waldorf early childhood education, and gain confidence in building a secure bridge to the young child’s expanding world.

The Parent-Tot class brings parents and children together once a week in a nurturing environment. We work and play together, prepare a snack, celebrate the seasons, and enjoy songs, stories and finger games. We use a rhythmical structure of work and imaginative play to develop skills for healthy social interactions. Seasonal crafts and activities include felting, sewing, and making simple dolls and toys.

Daily Rhythm

The rhythmical structure of our Parent-Tot program helps young children and parents feel secure. Our sessions include:

• Arrival
• Indoor play and parent craft activity
• Circle with songs, finger games, movements, and verse
• Outdoor play on school grounds
• Closing & Goodbye

Parent-Tot Program Details

We offer Parent-Tot classes on Fridays in our lovely Kindergarten classroom, while our young  students enjoy a ‘day in the woods.'

The age requirement for the program is infancy to 4 years old . Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Parents registered in the first session receive priority for re-enrollment in subsequent sessions.

Extended Care is not available for this age group.

Friday Classes •  9 to 11 am

Session 1 • Oct. 5th – Dec. 14th, 2011
10 Weeks • $300

Session 2 • Jan. 6th  – March 16th, 2012
9 Weeks • $300 - no class Feb 17^th and 24th

Session 3 • Mar 23 – Jun 8th, 2012
9 Weeks • $300 - no class Apr 6,13,and 20

Session fees are payable at the time of registration. The fee includes all supplies for craft activities and snacks.
