Community is a cornerstone of life at Three Cedars. Through the organization and experience of festivals and events, Parent Association activities, and engagement in classrooms, we offer a multitude of opportunities to engage in co-creating a vibrant social circle around the students, and a ‘village’ for our families.

Throughout history, in all civilizations, one finds celebrations reflecting nature’s rhythms. At TCWS we celebrate festivals to sustain and renew ourselves and our school community, in ways that foster wonder, reverence and gratitude, enhance our capacity to respond to the needs of our community and the world. While faculty creates a number of festivals for the students only, the school community gathers several times a year to celebrate its togetherness, its progress and plans for the future, and the sheer joy of being together. Michaelmas (Around September 29th) and May Day are highlights of our festival life.
Vision - The TCWS Parent Association embraces the vision of an engaged and valued parent body in service of the school’s mission. The mission of TCWS Parent Association is to design, hold, and facilitate the effective participation of parents in the unfolding of the school’s mission.
Core Values - The Parent Association is committed to generating, welcoming, and honoring parents’ participation in the life of the school, and to working in synergy with the underlying principles of Waldorf Education as expressed in the school’s Strategic Plan.
Class Coordinators serve in two main capacities: as communicators and as assistants within the class. On the one hand, the Class Coordinator is the communication link between the class teacher, parents of the class, the Volunteer Coordinator, the Parent Association and, on occasion, the school. The other responsibility of the Class Coordinator is to assist the teacher by helping to coordinate class related activities, and securing parental participation in the following activities:
